Beale’s Podcast

In this month's podcast I’m revisiting NLP practitioner Ania Lichota’s podcast and transcript. Ania has just reached Everest Base Camp on her journey to climb the world’s largest mountain! Only 90% of climbers return. You can listen to the podcast and read the transcript on Ania’s podcast and transcript.

The transcript links to Ania’s personal blog, so you can follow her exploits yourself, and she’s still looking for donations to support the climb.

Brainwashed

I’m becoming increasingly impressed with Seth Godin’s approach to marketing for entrepreneurs and those at the more innovative end of corporate organisations. In the article ‘Brainwashed’, he suggests seven ways to reinvent yourself - they are useful ideas if you’re involved in any form of sales and marketing.

The ideas are:

  • Connect
  • Be Generous
  • Make Art
  • Acknowledge the Lizard
  • Ship
  • Fail
  • Learn
You can download the article here: Brainwashed PDF.

New Website, New Forum, New Training Guide

Over the past two months I’ve developed a new look, new content and faster response to our NLP Training website, our NLP Forum, and our NLP Training Guide.

We have built up a significant resource of podcasts and transcripts over the past three years. Whether your interests are NLP, NLP benefits, Facilitation, Leadership, Metaphor, Motivation, Hypnosis, Sales or Seduction we’ll have something for you.

Have a look at our index of contents here: Podcast Index. There may be materials that are new to you, or ones you had forgotten about – peruse, use and enjoy!

Our new 2010 NLP training guide has now been released both as an NLP PDF and as an online NLP training guide. This is an extremely useful resource for anyone thinking of taking any NLP training.

NLP Definition of the Month: Timeline

‘Timeline’ is a subjective construct which metaphorically organises your client’s past, present and future time spatially.

Remember, if you want transformational rather than incremental change, it’s better to start with what it’s like to have achieved what you want first – that is, before you consider your current situation. When you’ve imagined what you want, work backwards to identify the steps needed to achieve it.

You can see more definitions by following this link: NLP Training: Glossary A-Z.

And Finally...

If you do one new think every day you’re creating a framework for your success. And if stop doing one thing that doesn’t genuinely contribute to where you want to go you will be doubly successful. Enjoy.
